A complete guide to the Nova Raider tutorial, from the first rescue fight to quests, ship classes, resources and missions.

Overview
The tutorial is the first guided path in Nova Raider. It starts automatically for new pilots and introduces combat, equipment, gems, ships, quests, resources, missions and the main class roles through playable stages rather than simple explanations.
Each stage temporarily lends the equipment needed for that lesson. Weapons, gear and ships used in tutorial stages are there to teach mechanics safely; once the stage ends, the normal progression rules take over.

FAQ
Do tutorial items stay forever? No. Tutorial layers teach mechanics safely. Normal progression takes over once you return to the regular game flow.
What should new players focus on after the tutorial? Keep weapons loaded, upgrade the ship gradually, follow Quests and Researches, and avoid carrying too much Uranium or resources through dangerous PvP areas.
- A stage usually gives a short objective, points the player toward a location, then asks them to kill enemies, collect an object, enter a building or use a feature.
- A portal appears after the objective is complete. Entering the portal sends the player to the next tutorial stage.
- Tutorial weapons and gear are automatically reloaded while the player remains in the tutorial area, so the focus stays on learning the mechanic.
- Leaving tutorial areas clears the temporary equipment layer and returns the player to normal gameplay.
Stage 0 — Introduction, Weapons and Shields
The first playable sequence begins with an emergency fight. The player helps two allied ships surrounded by enemies, then learns the basic rhythm of firing, surviving and following map objectives.
- First wave: destroy the initial enemy group around the allied ships.
- Reward moment: collect an upgraded ship dropped after the rescue.
- Second wave: use the stronger ship to clear another enemy group.
- Boss moment: defeat the Cervox general and collect the dropped Pulse Laser.
- Healing lesson: a healing platform appears, teaching the player to repair during a fight.
- Final fight: clear another group, then defeat the Master Brain encounter while avoiding poison puddles.
- Final pickup: collect the Repair kit and take the exit portal.
Stage 1 — Garage, Weapons and Gear
This stage sends the player to the Garage and teaches how the ship dashboard is used. RTXP-10 explains that the Garage is where pilots buy, equip and manage weapons and gear.
- The player enters the Garage building.
- The objective is to buy and equip a stronger Pulse Laser.
- The player also needs to obtain a stronger Repair kit.
- The stage ends only after the player has the required weapon and gear equipped and has moved far enough forward.
Stage 2 — Gems
This stage introduces monster hunting and gem equipment. The player fights a small group of monsters, then a stronger target. Defeating the target grants a vitality gem.
- The player learns that normal gems can drop from monsters.
- The player opens the gem interface and equips the newly obtained HP gem.
- The stage ends once the gem is equipped, teaching that gems immediately affect ship statistics.
Stage 3 — First Ship Upgrade
This stage teaches that ships can be changed and upgraded through the Garage. The player clears one enemy squadron, then a Garage appears so they can change to a new ship.
- First wave: destroy fourteen enemies.
- Garage objective: enter the Garage and change ship.
- Second wave: after changing ship, another fourteen enemies appear.
- The stage ends after the second wave is cleared, preparing the player for stronger encounters.
Stage 4 — Boss Encounter
This stage focuses on a boss-style fight. A reduced boss encounter appears, and the player must defeat it with the loaned ship and starter combat tools.
- The player fights a single boss target rather than a wave.
- The fight grants a large experience boost for the player’s early progression.
- After the boss is defeated, the player is directed toward the next portal.
Stage 5 — Ship Classes
This stage explains the five main ship roles with visible model ships. It is mainly educational: the player sees each role, then is sent back to the Garage before testing class-focused combat stages.
- Balanced ships: flexible ships without a class research requirement, useful against resistant targets such as reactors.
- Raider ships: damage-focused ships that rely on attack power and critical hits.
- Tank ships: durable ships that survive longer and benefit from fixed-damage tools.
- Support ships: team-oriented ships that heal, shield, buff and deploy tools such as drones or turrets.
- Trader ships: resource-focused ships with larger storage, mobility and escape tools.
Stage 6 — Raider Trial
The player is loaned a Raider ship and must clear an enemy pack. The stage teaches aggressive damage, burst tools and life-steal based pressure.
- Enemies: ten regular enemies and one stronger enemy.
- Temporary weapon examples: Beam of death, Guided missiles and Lifesteal gun.
- Temporary gear examples: Damage upgrade, Repair kit and Automatic defense units.
- The stage ends after all enemies are destroyed.
Stage 7 — Tank Trial
The player is loaned a Tank ship. This stage uses a larger enemy formation to demonstrate durability, survivability tools and sustained fighting.
- Enemies: thirteen regular enemies and one stronger enemy.
- Temporary weapon examples: Freeze beam, Hammer missile and Cannon.
- Temporary gear examples: Upgraded life buff, GODMODE and Standard shield.
- The goal is to survive heavier pressure while clearing the room.
Stage 8 — Support Trial
The player is loaned a Support ship and fights alongside an allied ship. The lesson is that Support ships are not only healers: they can protect, buff, deploy tools and help allies finish fights.
- Enemies: two stronger targets.
- Temporary weapon examples: Attack buff, Shield buff and Healing robot.
- Temporary gear examples: Overclocking module, Revive and Supercharged Turret.
- The stage ends once both enemies are defeated.
Stage 9 — Trader Trial and Resources
The player is loaned a Trader ship, defeats a boss target, collects resources, and is sent to a Market. The stage teaches why storage and trading matter.
- Enemy: Icefly Queen.
- The player receives starter amounts of Crystal, Plutonium, Deuterium and Iridium if needed.
- A Market appears after the fight so the player can sell resources.
- Temporary gear examples include Extra container and Secure containers, showing how Trader tools help carry resources.
Stage 10 — Quest Center
The player is sent to the Quest Center. This stage introduces quests as structured challenges that can reward experience, kits, special gems and other progression items.
- The Quest Center is presented as a major progression building.
- Quest Credits are introduced as the entry resource for quest rewards.
- Special gems are introduced as stronger gems that are mainly earned through quests.
Stage 11 — Extermination Training
The tutorial then runs an Extermination-style training quest. The player must clear all enemies on the map. In this training version, the focus is on learning the objective and collecting the special gem reward.
- Objective: destroy twenty-five quest enemies.
- The enemy counter updates until every target has been destroyed.
- The player is then guided to equip the newly obtained special gem.
Stage 12 — Missions
The final stage introduces missions as regular tasks that appear during normal play. The player receives a first mission-style combat task and completes it by destroying the required enemies.
- Objective: destroy fifteen enemies.
- The lesson explains that missions can award experience, uranium, research time and other progression rewards.
- After completing the tutorial, the player receives a +50% Experience Kit for 3 days and post-tutorial missions become available.
Tips for New Players
- Equip the gem earned during the gem stage instead of leaving it in inventory.
- Pay attention to the difference between weapons and gear: weapons are used to attack, while gear often protects, repairs, boosts or controls fights.
- Do not ignore the class lesson. Raider, Tank, Support and Trader ships are built for different problems.
- After the tutorial, continue with quests, missions, research and ship upgrades rather than only farming random monsters.
