What Maps Are
Maps define where players can travel, fight, collect resources, use buildings and enter activities. The important differences are access level, PvP protection, travel, repair, structures, natural populations and reward rules.

| Repair and revive | Determines how death and recovery work inside the map. |
| Hyperspace and hyperjump | Determines whether you can reposition or leave directly. |
| Buildings and portals | Determines where you can shop, trade, start activities or reach another map. |
| Reset or rotation | Some maps regenerate, clear their contents or move objectives on a timer. |
