What Ships Are
Ships are the base of every Nova Raider build. A ship defines your starting Attack, Health, CPU, Dodge, Critical, Propulsion, Precision, Stock, Execution and Range before Gems, Researches, Skill Tree bonuses, Guild bonuses and temporary Combat States are added.
The best ship is not always the highest-level one. The best choice is the ship class that matches your current activity: farming, PvP, quests, group support, resource transport, boss maps or seasonal events.
Ship Classes at a Glance
| Class | Main strength | Best for | Key stats to watch |

How to Choose a Ship
Choose Raider Ships for damage pressure, Tank Ships for survival, Support Ships for CPU-based utility, Trader Ships for Stock and cargo routes, and Balanced Ships when you want flexibility. After changing class, revisit Weapons, Shields, Gems, Skill Tree and Researches because the strongest setup changes with the class.
Buying and Equipping at the Garage
A ship can be bought or selected while the player is alive and close enough to the Garage, outside the recent-PvP equipment lock. The selected ship must meet its level and research requirements. Owned ships are equipped; missing ships use their displayed Uranium or Star price.
Changing ship recalculates the build's Health, CPU, Stock, movement and slot bonuses. Equipment or Gems that no longer fit are removed safely, and current Health is capped when the new maximum is lower. A ship preset follows the same Garage requirements and can also equip or purchase its recorded legal loadout.
FAQ
Should I always buy the newest ship?
Not automatically. Check whether its class and stat profile fit your weapons, shields and activity.
What matters more: ship level or build?
Ship level matters, but build quality matters too. A well-supported lower-level ship can outperform a poorly planned higher-level one.
Do ship skins change ship stats?
Most skins are cosmetic, while some event skins add a specific bonus against event monsters. The ship still defines the base stats.
