Reactor Management unlocks more reactor capacity when your Player Level also allows the next reactor slot. It is the first main research to check before building additional reactors.
This is a main Researches article rather than an inside-reactor upgrade. It supports your overall reactor strategy and should be planned with Reactors, Guild Maps, PvP and the matching counter-researches.

Upgrade this research when your reactor plan actually needs it. Production-focused players should prioritize Reactor Management and inside-reactor production first; combat-focused players should compare offensive reactor research with the matching shield research used by attackers.

Does this upgrade every reactor individually?
No. This is a main research. Inside-reactor researches such as Energy Core and Fuel Stock are upgraded separately per reactor.
Should I max this before building gear?
Not always. Balance it with Weapons, Shields, Gems and the reactor placement you are actually using.
