Resources and Currencies
Guide to Nova Raider resources and currencies: what they are for, where they come from and how to spend them.

· Resources and Currencies
Overview
Resources and Currencies are the economy layer of Nova Raider. They decide what you can upgrade, trade, unlock, roll, repair, research or claim during events.
The most important habit is to spend toward a goal. Uranium often supports upgrades, cargo resources support routes and conversion, Stars unlock convenience, Skill Tokens feed the Skill Tree, and Void Shards belong to limited-time event-shop decisions.
Currency Reference
| Resource or currency | Main use | Common source | Planning note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uranium | Pays for Ships, Weapons, Shields, ammunition, Researches, reactor actions, guild construction and many upgrades. | Enemy loot, Market conversion and trades, Reactors, missions, events and rewards. | It does not occupy ship Stock, but carried Uranium can still be dropped in applicable PvP deaths. |
| Crystal | Carried resource used as matching Reactor fuel, in Market offers, for direct conversion into Uranium or main-research time, and to charge a guild Dungeon Portal. | Resource pickups and combat loot on Maps, plus selected missions and rewards. | Occupies Stock and may be lost in applicable PvP deaths; only a Reactor configured for Crystal accepts it as fuel. |
| Iridium | Carried resource used as matching Reactor fuel, in Market offers, for direct conversion into Uranium or main-research time, and to charge a guild Dungeon Portal. | Resource pickups and combat loot on Maps, plus selected missions and rewards. | Occupies Stock and may be lost in applicable PvP deaths; only a Reactor configured for Iridium accepts it as fuel. |
| Plutonium | Carried resource used as matching Reactor fuel, in Market offers, for direct conversion into Uranium or main-research time, and to charge a guild Dungeon Portal. | Resource pickups and combat loot on Maps, plus selected missions and rewards. | Occupies Stock and may be lost in applicable PvP deaths; only a Reactor configured for Plutonium accepts it as fuel. |
| Deuterium | Carried resource used as matching Reactor fuel, in Market offers, for direct conversion into Uranium or main-research time, and to charge a guild Dungeon Portal. | Resource pickups and combat loot on Maps, plus selected missions and rewards. | Occupies Stock and may be lost in applicable PvP deaths; only a Reactor configured for Deuterium accepts it as fuel. |
| Stars | Premium purchases and shortcuts, including skins, selected gear, immediate timer completion, revive, reactor travel actions, extra inventory slots and Quest Credits. | Purchases, Star pickups, missions, Seasons, events, chests and offers. | Compare permanent unlocks with one-time shortcuts before spending. |
| Time Savers | Instantly remove 15 minutes, 8 hours or 24 hours from an active main or reactor research; unused main-research reduction can continue into queued work. | Quests, Dungeons, bosses, missions, Seasons, events, chests and shops. | Each size has a storage cap increased by its matching Research; temporary overflow is reduced to that cap after its grace period. |
| Skill Tokens | Unlock nodes in the Skill Tree. | Missions, Seasons, chests, events and selected rewards. | A Skill Tree reset returns 90% of the tokens spent on unlocked nodes. |
| Void Shards | Buy limited rewards in the Event Center and pay for selected event loadout rentals. | Event participation, missions, Seasons, chests and event rewards. | Storage is capped by Void Shard Storage; temporary overflow is later reduced to the cap. |
| Season Points | Advance the active Season reward track and meet the thresholds required to claim rewards. | Season Missions, reward bundles and optional purchases with Stars. | They are accumulated, not spent when a reward is claimed, and reset with the Season. |
| PvP Points | PvP score used for rankings, achievements and seasonal competitive placement. | Player kills, level-ups, Battle rewards and selected reward bundles. | This is not a spendable currency; the score is heavily reduced when a new Season begins. |
| Arena Points | Arena rating used to determine league, rank and Arena progression. | Ranked Arena victories and selected rewards. | This is not spent: defeats remove points, and the rating also decreases over time and between Seasons. |
| Guild Points | Shared guild reserve used to buy and upgrade guild buildings and unlock building slots. | Guild wars and destroyed objectives, bosses, missions, events, chests and guild rewards. | Spending affects the whole Guild, so building priorities should be coordinated. |
| Quest Credits | Consumed after a successful Quest to grant its configured victory rewards. | Five daily credits, purchases with Stars, missions, Seasons, chests and selected rewards. | Daily credits are consumed first; each additional credit bought on the same day costs more Stars than the previous one. |
| Squad Candy | Upgrades recruited monsters and pays the Candy part of additional Squadron zone slots. | Missions, Seasons, chests, shops, events and selling recruited monsters. | Zone slots can also require Uranium and Experience; keep enough Candy for the zone or monster you actually use. |
| Wheel Spins | Grants an additional claim on the Nova Wheel after the free daily credit is unavailable. | Missions, Seasons, chests, shops, event rewards and selected weekend drops. | The free daily credit is consumed before an extra Wheel Spin. |
How to Plan Spending
| Question | Best check |
|---|---|
| Does this remove a level gate? | Compare the cost with Player Level, Researches and ship unlocks. |
| Does this improve farming speed? | Compare Stock, Maps, Market routes and reactor needs. |
| Is the reward temporary? | Check Daily Events, Seasonal Events and Weekend Events before spending. |
| Does the spend affect combat? | Compare Ships, Weapons, Shields, Gems and Combat Statistics. |
| Is this for a build path? | Check Skill Tree and Skill Tokens before committing. |
Carrying, Stock and Loss
Crystal, Plutonium, Deuterium and Iridium occupy ship Stock while being carried. A pickup is limited by remaining Stock space and can be reserved to a player or group for a short period before others may collect it. Uranium is tracked separately but can also appear as protected loot.
On normal galaxy and boss-map PvP deaths, 5% of carried Uranium and half of each carried resource can be dropped unless Stock protection applies. Market deliveries can also remain pending when the destination Stock is full. Before travelling through a PvP map, deposit, convert or spend valuable cargo and verify the ship's protection.
Resources can feed Reactors, charge a guild Dungeon Portal, be traded through the Market or be converted directly. The best use depends on current research time, Uranium needs, guild plans and player-offer rates.
FAQ
Should I spend currencies as soon as I earn them?
Usually no. Waiting until you know your next upgrade, season target, market route or combat build prevents waste.
Which currency should I protect most?
Protect whatever is blocking your next goal. Early on that is often Uranium or cargo resources; later it can be Skill Tokens, Void Shards, Stars or event-limited rewards.
