What Ship Skins Are
Ship Skins change the appearance of a Ship. Most are cosmetic. Some global skins are tied to a Seasonal Event and provide a specific effect against that event's monsters; they do not increase normal damage against unrelated targets.
Unlocked skins remain on the account. A seasonal skin can still be equipped after its event, but its special combat effect matters only against the matching event targets.

Ship-Specific Skins
Regular ships also have four designs tied to that exact ship: **Discreet Blue**, **Electric Cyan**, **Flame Yellow** and **Neon Pink**. Buying one unlocks that design for its linked ship; it is not a single global color unlock shared by every ship.
The price is based on the level of the ship. Higher-tier ships have more expensive color skins, while all four colors for the same ship use the same price.

Choosing a Skin
For appearance, use any unlocked compatible skin. For event farming, equip the global skin whose effect names the active event targets. A skin does not replace a proper build: Weapons, Shields, Gems, ammunition and the selected ship still determine whether the player can farm safely.
