To Everyone Who Made Nova Raider Possible
Обновлено: 22 июля 2026 г. в 08:10
This message is for you.
If you remember Nova Raider before the servers went dark in 2019. If you spent part of your childhood or teenage years exploring its galaxies, building your fleet, watching videos, sharing strategies, or simply logging in to meet familiar names.
If you thought that world was gone forever, but still hoped that one day it might return.
If you supported the crowdfunding campaign in 2021, when there was no playable server, no original source code, no complete development team, and no certainty that the project would succeed. If you trusted a recent computer science graduate with the difficult task of rebuilding an entire game from the ground up.
Your support raised more than €2,000. It helped launch the first server, cover the initial costs of creating the company, and, above all, made it possible to dedicate more time to development.
Sweet Nitro gave us permission to bring the magic of Nova Raider back. But there was no project to restore and no technical foundation to continue from. The game had to be rewritten completely, moving from Flash Player to Unity, using only visual assets that had been personally preserved before the original closure.
If you entered the contributor test server when it first opened in September 2021, you were there for one of the most stressful days of my life.
You were among the first people to step inside a world that had existed only through months of code, memories, experiments, and uncertainty. I was afraid of disappointing you, afraid of breaking something in real time, and afraid that the experience would not live up to what you remembered.
But you connected.
You played.
And for the first time since 2019, Nova Raider was alive again.
What followed were two years of testing sessions and continuous feedback, including four public open days held in 2022. If you contributed your memories of the original game, identified what still did not feel right, or helped us understand what needed to change, you rebuilt more than software. You helped rebuild an experience.
If you submitted one of the more than 1,500 bug reports, tested the same system again after another correction, found a problem five minutes after I believed it was finally fixed, or patiently waited while a solution took longer than expected, you were part of the development process.
If you gave us strong feedback when we fucked up, or gave us the “thumbs up” when we nailed it, thank you.
Learning how to build and maintain a project of this scale required thousands of hours. There were periods of exhaustion, isolation, doubt, and serious mental strain. Nova Raider demanded countless evenings and weekends, often at the expense of friendships, personal relationships, and time I can never reclaim.
There were moments when the number of problems felt greater than the progress being made, but your support kept pulling the project forward.
The messages. The reports. The encouragement. The patience. The people who kept returning, even when the game was incomplete and far from perfect.
If you were there when the private test server closed on 7 September 2023 and the official beta began, you witnessed the project enter a new chapter.
The excitement was immense. So were the expectations.
The challenge was no longer only to restore Nova Raider. It was to turn it into a living game: improving its technical foundations, correcting old and new problems, and developing additional content at the same time.
We did not always get everything right. Some bugs remained for too long, some decisions could have been better, and communication was not always as frequent or as clear as the community deserved.
You held us accountable, and you trusted us when we showed that we could listen, learn, and improve.
Whether you were part of the original community and carried the memory of Nova Raider through the years when the game no longer existed, or discovered this new version without the weight of nostalgia, thank you for giving this world another chance.
If you contributed financially, moderated discussions, translated texts, created videos, published screenshots, reported bugs, suggested features, invited friends, attended events, developed code, created visual assets, or simply remained present, you helped Nova Raider survive its most fragile years.
Some of you are still actively involved today, while others have moved toward different projects, communities, or chapters of their lives. Wherever you are now, if you helped Nova Raider move forward, you are part of its history.
Now, in 2026, after more than five years of rebuilding, testing, setbacks, and progress, Nova Raider’s story is far from over.
There are still new galaxies to discover, visual content to improve, systems to strengthen, and better ways to place players at the centre of future development. Communication must also become more regular and transparent, and this website is part of that commitment.
Nova Raider did not return because the journey was simple.
It returned because people believed that a closed world deserved another chance.
If you supported us while everything was still uncertain, if you played through the imperfect versions, if you helped us recognise our mistakes, or if you celebrated every step forward with us, then this message is for you.
You did not simply witness the return of Nova Raider.
You made it possible.
Thank you for remembering.
Thank you for believing.
Thank you for rebuilding this world with us.
And thank you for being part of what comes next.
