Back to the game: What's Next for Nova Raider in September 2026

September marks a new phase for Nova Raider.

Over the past two months, much of our development time has been dedicated to rebuilding the foundations around the game: the new Marketing Website, Player Hub, support systems and communication tools.

That work is now largely complete.

Starting in September, our focus shifts back to the game itself: its systems, your suggestions, remaining bugs, and the major changes needed before we actively bring new players into Nova Raider.

💬 A New Chat Experience

One of September's first major updates is already live: the in-game chat has received an extensive overhaul.

Private messages, group conversations, social features, moderation tools, visuals, emojis and many smaller details have been reworked to provide a cleaner and more practical experience.

As we prepare to welcome more players, improving the social experience of Nova Raider is an important part of that process.

🐛 No Bug Report, No Fix

For the first time in a while, our Bug Report list is empty.

This is good news, but also an important reminder: if a bug isn't reported, we may simply never know it exists and therefore never fix it.

Even if an issue seems obvious or old, please report it through the Hub. Your reports directly help us decide what needs attention.

🗳️ Three Surveys, Three Major Decisions

We recently opened three important surveys covering:

  • -🚀 Onboarding: how new players should enter and progress through Nova Raider.
  • -⚔️ Guild gameplay: what should replace or evolve from the current Guild War system.
  • -🌌 Endgame / Galaxy 11: what the next major endgame environment should become.

These aren't surveys about minor adjustments. Their results will directly influence systems we expect to begin developing in September and October.

Earlier this year, we started working with a graphic designer to expand what we can create visually. We now also intend to move closer to game design expertise to help us make the right decisions around these three major systems.

This makes your participation particularly important.

The number of votes matters, but the quality of your written feedback matters just as much. Tell us what you want, what you don't want, and most importantly, why.

If you haven't participated yet, now is the time. You're helping shape the future structure of Nova Raider.

📣 Preparing for Active Communication

The Marketing Website, Hub and communication infrastructure were the first part of preparing Nova Raider for a wider audience.

The game itself is now the next step.

Onboarding, Guild gameplay and the future endgame experience are important pieces we want in place before beginning larger communication and acquisition campaigns.

Development on these systems is expected to begin in September, with some of the work potentially continuing throughout October.

Our priority is to improve the experience first, then bring more players into it.

🎃 You Voted. We Listened.

Thank you as well to everyone who participated in our survey about the types of skins you'd like to see next.

Those votes are already having an impact.

Our Halloween skins are ready, and they were directly inspired by the results of your survey.

We're keeping the final designs secret for a little longer. 👀

🚀 Back to the Game

July introduced the new Marketing Website. August expanded the Hub and its surrounding systems.

September brings the focus back to Nova Raider itself.

Gameplay systems, community suggestions, bug fixes and new content will progressively return to the center of development.

We'll also continue aiming for at least one DevBlog every month, giving you a regular look at what we're building, why we're building it, and opportunities to influence our decisions before they're final.

The new infrastructure is in place. Now it's time to focus on the game.
